Rebuild Quahog and stuff

Peter’s fight with the Giant Chicken went and released flaming chickens all over the city. The only way to rebuild it is with stuff. Lots and lots of stuff.


Rebuild Everyone's Homes
To rebuild a house, tap on it to send your migrant worker to go fix it up. Migrant workers can fix buildings, remove debris, and build new things like houses and hillbilly ATMs. Just like you always wanted!

To clear debris or repair a building, tap on it, then tap “OK” to send your migrant worker running.

Remember: you can buy more migrant workers to do more stuff faster!


Build New Buildings

Not everything conveniently waits for you in ruins. You’ll need to build some new places yourself!


To add new buildings and decorations, drag up the shopping cart icon to reveal the shop. Tap the building you want, then place it wherever you want in Quahog.

Unlock Family Guy characters

Finish a new building to uncover new characters. But before they’ll join Peter in his Epic Quest To Fix Something He Definitely Did Not Cause, you first need to make it worth their while. Or solve their problems. Basically, you have to give them lots of stuff. This is called a dilemma.


To get a character to join you, tap on them to see what they need. You’ll get this “stuff” by performing actions throughout the game. For instance, make Peter dance his pants off in order to get a nice fetching pair of pants.


When you have enough, tap the dilemma bubble again to give it to the character. When you’re done, hit the checkmark!


You can also unlock instantly by hitting the instant finish unlock button.

How to get stuff

Everyone loves stuff. You get stuff by collecting from buildings and making everyone do things.


Stuff can be common, uncommon, rare, extra rare, or epic. The rarer the item, the more you’ll have to do an action before it drops. Keep trying!


When viewing a dilemma, tap the arrow to go straight to the required action. Remember: some actions require multiple characters!

Make everyone perform actions

Do stuff for stuff! Tap on a character (like Peter) to view all the different actions they can do.


You can’t do everything at once, though. Some Actions require you to level up that character. Others require you to find a partner. Or maybe you’ll need a building you haven’t found yet. For more information on a specific action, tap on it.


To start an action, first tap on the character, then drag it into the cloud above their head.


Actions take time. You’ll see the action’s progress in a box above Peter’s head. Once done, tap Peter (or the character) to receive coins and XP. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get stuff!

Dress up in Al Harrington’s outfits

Once you get to the Shopping Center District, you unlock Al Harrington’s Outfits Shop. And new outfits!


To create a new outfit, tap on Al Harrington’s and then tap the Info button. You’ll need some stuff first, and the right characters. But then you’re all set!

Quests

If you see a “!” over someone’s head, it means they’ve got something for you to do. Tap to read a new quest, which will give you things to grab!


To view active quests, tap the Quests Button in the lower left corner. Finish them all to win awesome rewards — sometimes even clams.

Waste time on Facespace

As you unlock characters, you’ll also unlock their Facespace profiles. Tap the Facespace button to view them. Be sure to check back often as new events happen! Quests, characters and outfits can all trigger new happenings in the Face-o-sphere.


Facespace also gives you hints for characters you haven’t unlocked yet.

Visit Ollieland (and your “Real” friends, if you have them)

Use the Social Bar to skip through the multiverse, visiting Ollie and your friends. Stewie will show you how.


Inviting your Friends

To bug your real life friends, invite them by logging in to Facebook and using the +invite button from within Family Guy.


Social Bar Rewards

In the Social Bar, you can collect coins and XP from three characters for each friend you visit, up to a total of 20 friends per day. Note: you can only collect from the same friend once every eight hours, assuming you haven’t yet hit 20 for that day.

How to move Quahog’s buildings and roads

How to move Buildings

Enter “Deco Mode” by tapping and holding on any building or decoration. You’ll see a meter fill up, at which point you can move that item around Quahog.


The box beneath the building shows whether you can place it or not. A red box means the building is blocked by another item; a green box means it’s ready to drop. To rotate the building, tap the rotation icon while the building is selected.


How to Add or Remove Roads

To add or remove roads, enter Deco Mode and tap the Road Icon in the upper left-hand corner. With the Road Icon activated, tap to place or remove roads quickly.

Leveling up

Earn XP by completing tasks in the game, such as making a character do an action, placing a building or decorations, or completing a quest. You can view your XP level process in the top left corner of your screen. As you level up, you unlock new features and items in the game. Currently, there is no way to see exactly how many XP you have until the next level.


Individual characters can also be leveled up by completing actions.

Billing Help

Is Family Guy free?

Yes! The Family Guy Beta is "Free to Play", which means it’s completely free to download and play with a wide variety of content. Family Guy also has "Premium Currency," called clams, which you can buy using in-app purchases for real money.

I Made a purchase and have not received it yet

If you have purchased clams or coins and don't see them in your game, try restarting your device, then running the app again and leaving it open for a minute. Sometimes it can take a moment for the system to credit and give you your currency. If you still haven’t received your currency after an hour or so, please contact us and let us know.

How do I earn more coins for free?

You can earn coins for free by leveling up in the game, collecting from your buildings, and having your characters perform actions. You also get coins and XP for completing quests.

Can I earn clams without buying them?

You can earn free clams by completing some goals. Other than that, the best way to get them is by purchasing them from the "Buy Clams" menu.

I didn't mean to purchase clams! How do I get a refund?

iOS: In order to get a refund, you'll need to contact Apple Customer Support, because the transaction was completed through the iTunes Store. They can be reached at http://bit.ly/aQ5Wx. Only Apple can provide refunds for purchases made through iOS.


Amazon: In order to get a refund, please contact Amazon Customer Service. Amazon manages all aspects of these transactions, so TinyCo is unable to provide you a refund directly. To contact Amazon Customer Service, open the Amazon App Store on your device and tap the "Main Menu" button, followed by "More", followed by "Contact Customer Service."


Android/Google Checkout: To request a refund for an order placed via Google Checkout, please contact TinyCo Support with the following information:


  • The confirmation number of your Google Checkout/Play order
  • The email address you used to sign up for Family Guy, if you used one
  • The email address associated with your Google Checkout/Play account

How do I prevent accidental purchases?

iOS: Go to Settings > General > Restrictions on your device to set up a PIN that prevents any unauthorized real-money purchases inside iOS applications.


Android: Open the Google Play Store Google Play Store app. Then, touch Menu > Settings. Under User controls, check the checkbox next to “Password - Use password” to restrict purchases.

Account Settings

How to sign up for an account

Signing up for an account allows you to play your game on multiple devices. It also ensures you can access your game even if you lose access to your device.


To sign up for an account, tap Main Menu > Account Info, and then choose an option to create your account. These include Facebook, Google, or creating a Username.


IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to save your game, you must sign up for a password before logging out or changing devices! TinyCo Support cannot restore lost games if they do not have an account associated with it.

Is an account required to play?

Nope! The first time you log in to Family Guy, the game will be saved using your device. Provided you do not delete the game, you will be able to access your save when you load it up. Accounts are not required to enjoy Family Guy.


However! Setting up an account ensures you can access your game in the future, even if you lose access to your device. It also allows you to play on multiple devices. Because of this, we strongly encourage setting one up.

How do I reset my password?

Forgot your password? Set up a new game on your device, then head to the Accounts tab under Settings. From there, tap “reset my password” and enter your email address in the next field.


This will send a password reset form to the email address you used to sign up. Check your email to proceed further.


Note: If the email address you signed up with is incorrect, we are unable to restore your account.

Logging out

To log out of your account, tap Main Menu > Account Info, and select the log out option. If you log out without first signing up, you will lose all of your progress.


IMPORTANT NOTE ON PURCHASES: You must sign up for an account before logging out. Otherwise your purchases will be lost.

Troubleshooting

How do I reset the game?

To start a fresh game, log out of your existing game and sign in as a new account. Before logging out, make sure to sign up for an account from the Accounts page, otherwise you will permanently lose your progress.


IMPORTANT NOTE ON PURCHASES: Your purchases will not transfer to your new game. Make sure you have set up a password to preserve your old game. TinyCo Support cannot transfer premium currency between two active games.

How do I turn off Game Notifications?

To turn Notifications on or off, head to Settings > Notifications > Family Guy Beta on your device. You can change the settings of what notifications you want to receive by sliding them to the "on" or "off" position.

I'm experiencing a bug. What should I do?

Please contact us using the Support link below. Please do NOT uninstall your game without first setting up a password for your account. While in other TinyCo titles we suggest uninstalling and reinstalling as a way to quickly troubleshoot some issues, Family Guy requires a password to be set up for your account, otherwise progress will be lost.

When reporting a bug, please include as much information as possible, including:

1. What you were doing in-game when the bug occurred
2. What type of device you’re using
3. Whether the bug happens repeatedly, or just once
4. Whether you lost any clams or coins as a result

The more info you can send our way, the faster we can help.

I'm missing clams or accidentally spent clams

Actions requiring clams have a second confirmation popup when you tap them. However, we recommend tapping carefully if you find your game freezing or lagging. If this happens, avoid tapping the screen until the animation catches up, to be sure no unintended clams purchases occur.

Please note that TinyCo Support is unable to restore currency due to accidental purchases, unexpectedly missing currency or any Outfit purchases.

How do I force close my app?

Force closing Family Guy allows the app to refresh and may alleviate minor game play issues and loading issues. Our support team may also request that you Force Close to enable your device to recognize game fixes or account specific actions performed.

To "Force Close" any app on an iOS device:
1. From the Home screen, tap the Home button twice.
2. Swipe up on the Family Guy tab

To “Force Close” any app on an Android device:
1. Open the Main Menu of your device
2. Select Settings
3. Select Apps or Manage Applications
4. Find Family Guy in the list of applications
5. Select Family Guy
6. Select the Force Close button

How do I take a photo of my Quahog?

You can take a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button on your device. Your image will be found within the Photos app of your device.

Protip: if you wait a few seconds without tapping anything, the game menu will hide itself.
